OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced that Dots are here. A new way to use AI that works 24/7 for you, giving back more of your time and attention to work at a higher level.

OpenAI Codex & ChatGPT team member Thibault Sottiaux shared that a few million Dots will be online within days, tackling diverse tasks across a large community. After 2-3 days of use, he personally felt a clear jump once it learned his preferences. It picks things up quickly and can take on surprisingly ambitious tasks on its own. The team is studying primary Dot usage before unlocking the ability to create full teams of them.

Claude Blog: Claude in Chrome is generally available

Claude in Chrome is now generally available on every paid Claude plan. Claude can take actions autonomously in the browser instead of requiring approval for every step. A safety classifier validates each action before it runs to ensure it is safe and matches the user’s request.

It can access internal dashboards, legacy systems, and vendor portals that other tools cannot reach, using existing logins to read, type, click, navigate, and fill forms.

To counter prompt injection, Anthropic expanded its attack library for training, deployed probes that screen web content, and added action-verification classifiers. On the latest evaluations with probes plus the safety classifier, attack success rates dropped to 0% against Claude Sonnet 5 and Opus 5, and just 0.3% against Fable 5.

Install it from the Chrome Web Store. Enterprise admins can limit it to approved domains in Organization Settings.

Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch announced that the AI SDK has hit 30 million weekly downloads. He one-shotted a milestone video in fframes plus a Rust tool and Opus, rendered on the GPU. He also shared a plot showing the inverse correlation between product defects and downloads.

Builder Zara Zhang created a full marketing website for her water bottle using only six prompts with Opus 5.5. The process leveraged ElevenLabs for music, Meshy for 3D assets, and the OpenAI API for images.

Replit CEO Amjad Masad shared guidance on how to design and build a harness that reaches frontier performance at a fraction of the usual cost.

Claude Code at Anthropic’s Thariq suggested telling Claude “we have the power to do anything, please be braver.” He also recommended saying the same thing to yourself. He linked the Anthropic blog post on how they made Claude faster.

FPV Ventures partner Nikunj Kothari shared two honest observations on the current market. First, on people: it is harder than ever to find missionaries. Founders leave companies they cofounded for “obvious” winners, public CEOs jump to labs, and teams get Windsurf-ed so only select people join the next entity. As early-stage VCs betting primarily on people, departures can leave shells behind. Second, on defensibility: at the app layer the moat is no longer one thing but a thousand small things done well in the harness, many of them invisible. Ultimately it often circles back to the founders themselves, and the new bar is speed of execution and ability to adapt.

Box CEO Aaron Levie argued it is entirely plausible that the AI industry can handle safety and security through shared standards and practices for the foreseeable future. Greater oversight and liability will come later with capability progress, but the industry can still align collectively without reducing competition. He called the rapid industry support a positive signal for a brighter future.
